CHARACTER

NAME: Sakaguchi Ango.
PRONOUNS: He/him.
AGE: 38. Don't remind him that he's pushing 40.
CANON: Bungou to Alchemist, but he's based on a historical writer who was popular in the late 1940s.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Ango is a fairly tall man who appears to be in his mid-30s. He has a generally scruffy appearance, like he just rolled out of bed and is still wearing yesterday's clothes. He almost always wears prescription sunglasses because he's terribly nearsighted. He smells like cigarettes, cheap cologne, and grungy leather jacket.
Ango tends to be cynical and irreverent, but since he doesn't take himself seriously, he's easy to get along with. He's terrible to live with, though. Ango lives according to his own free-spirited personal philosophy of "decadence," which mainly involves doing whatever he wants and dealing with the consequences later never. His laid-back attitude belies a chaotic, restless lifestyle, and there are sometimes hints that he's really not okay.
Despite his flaws, Ango is generally a decent guy - friendly, open-minded, generous and kind. He loves to cook and has a soft spot for bratty kids.
WHAT PEOPLE MIGHT KNOW: Ango is a somewhat famous novelist whose works has been adapted into film/TV, so bookish characters have probably heard of him.
ORIENTATION: He's a disaster bisexual who's attracted to other disaster people (adults only, though).

DREAMER

NAME: Dreamer Decadence... but since Ango still isn't taking any of this seriously, he's just as likely to go by his real name.
LEVEL: Experienced, but just barely.
ARCHETYPE: Saver, but not a very useful one.
POWERS: I've got a separate page to keep track of that. But in general, his powers have a ninja theme and he relies on tricks rather than brute force (he's a decent physical fighter in the real world, though).
COSTUMES: There's a page for that too! His base outfit is a black and purple ninja costume, with sunglasses.

WARNINGS & OPT OUT

POTENTIALLY OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: Hoo boy, Ango is a mess. This guy smokes and drinks to an unhealthy extent, has abused other drugs, has chronic anxiety/depression, comes from an abusive family, is occasionally homeless, and his Dreamer awakening coincided with his best friend committing suicide. I'll check in with players and tone his issues down a LOT since this is an upbeat game, but if there's anything you want me to totally avoid in our threads, let me know. PERMISSIONS

PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Totally. After a few beers, Ango is your best friend.
PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: He probably deserved it, so feel free to kick his ass.
FLIRTING: Definitely. Bring your sleaziest pickup lines.
RELATIONSHIPS: If your character has very low standards, they can be friends with benefits. He's unlikely to get into a committed relationship at the moment, though.
SEX: Sure, but since I'm terminally asexual, we can just handwave the squishy bits.
